Being in a group allowed me to go places I wouldn’t usually. Peru was absolutely incredible and we got to experience a large range of what it has to offer (especially in terms of scenery), with exciting activities throughout. The expeditions are considered moderate to challenging due to usual high altitude, steep ascents, and long days of walking. Good physical fitness is important.
Training should include cardiovascular exercises, strength training, and hiking practice at higher altitudes if possible. Conditioning your body is crucial for success.
In case of severe weather, your guide will assess conditions and may adjust the itinerary or suggest alternative routes. Your safety is our top priority.
It depends on the severity of your health concerns. Consult with your doctor to assess suitability and whether you are able to complete the expedition.
Meals are typically provided, but the type and quality can vary. Some expeditions may involve cooking together, while others provide catered meals
Guides are trained to handle emergencies and have protocols in place. Communication methods for emergencies are established beforehand, and evacuation plans are prepared.
Acclimatisation is crucial for high-altitude expeditions. Gradual ascent, staying hydrated, and recognizing symptoms of altitude sickness are key strategies. Our guides will support you and ensure you are ascending / descending safely.
Mobile coverage can be limited or nonexistent in remote areas. Expect to not have service during the expedition and take in every moment!
Deposits are non-refundable, but they are flexible. If you are unable to make a trip you have booked, you are able to transfer your deposit to go towards the final balance of another trip up until 90 days before your trip start date.
You must be 18 by the first day of your trip with us. We have no upper age limit – our tours typically have a range of travellers aged 18-25 in attendance – but we welcome likeminded travellers both young and old to join us on the trip of a lifetime!
